Hey,

I got an API freshwater master test kit, and was curious how you're supposed to clean it for reuse? Can you just rinse the test tubes out in the tap and leave them out to dry or will that affect the test results of the next test from remaining tap chemicals?

Can you just rinse the test tubes out in the tap and leave them out to dry

Warm/hot water & shake pour out & shake and pour out. Air dry or I take some paper towels inside the test tube for a quick dry & also anything that might be left. In all honest I have left test tubes that I was testing for 2 days. I then cleaned & let it air dry with no problem. As long as you rinse in warm water & shake etc...you will be fine

I just rinse and dry with paper towel or napkin to ensure there is no residue. I prefer this over air drying cause air drying won't necessarily remove all components of the previous water. Not all water components evaporate. ;)

I rinse and air dry, then before reusing I rinse with tank water
