are slim skims any good?

i don't have any experience with it, but at least it's a venturi skimmer for a nano, not just an airstone skimmer.
just make sure to pick a skimmer rated for about 1.5-2 x your total system volume. in other words, if i had a 60 gallon tank, i would want a skimmer rated for 100-120 gallons.

for a smaller system i might even go higher then that, as the smaller you go the more issues you can have, so in some cases its better to pull more out and have less of a risk and just dose or do regular water changes to replenish any removed trace elements
