Beginner looking for stocking option

Currently have a 10g planted with 2 unknown plants. I have 4 platies inside, 3 females and 1 male. I had this tank for 5 weeks and added the fishes a week ago. Was thinking of maybe adding 2 shrimps in it. Is there some kind of shrimp that i can't keep with platies? PH inside my tank is around 7,6, don't know the hardness of the water (i only have a liquid test kit), and keep the temperature around 24-25 celsius.

Did you cycle the tank before adding fish? And do you have a back up plan for the platy fry so your tank is over run? Have you tested for ammonia, nitrates and nitrites yet?

Yes, I cycled the tank with ammonia. I did a 50% water change 2 days ago because my nitrate were 40 ppm with 0 ammonia and 0 nitrite. I also have a 10g and a 15g that I’m setting up today (was doing the seal a week ago) and my LFS told me that they were looking to buy any platy fry that I’ll have.
