I seperated my male beta from my female beta. He is now makeing a bubble nest. Should I put the male and female beta together even though they are different in age?

Wait until the nest is full, and large enough to hold eggs. Make sure they can see eachother. WATCH them when you put them in, there will be a lot of nipping that can turn deadly if one decides it doesn't like the other. Make sure once all the eggs are gone (it can take a few wraps) remove the female, not the male.

Only adding all that incase you don't know.

So, if the nest is large enough, yeah!

Why would the eggs be infertile?

Sometimes the male is too old, but it doesn't stop you from trying, as long as the male isn't years old or the female too young it should be fine.

And I think there is about a year or less apart in age difference
