Probably a rookie question, BUT, its the only change I recently made and an explanation would be great... In my Aquaclear 70, I'm running a sponge filter, a poly filter, and activated carbon. As of last night, I put in the biomax stage 3 filter media. I also just got running my Reef Octopus BH1000 last night as well. I came home from work today with a light green algae on my sand. Could the change in filtration be the reason? And yes, it actually was producing brown skimmate after only 1 night... I removed the new media and did a 10% water change.. Any insight?
