Hi, my black molly fish has given birth to 15 babies and 4 of them are white (very transparent in colour) the dad is a black Molly too. Is this unusual?

How long have you had the male/female?
I'm wondering if the female was exposed to a different male and that's why you are seeing the white coloration?
Or perhaps one of your mollies is of the dalmation type. I have several dalmations that are nearly all black and could be confused.

Well, those fry could be fathered by more males. If the female has stored sperm packets in the folds of her fallopian tube, she'll release randomly those sperm packets to fertilize her eggs. So, she could've had a former mating at the store or even before.
But it could also be that one or both parents are genotypically not just black. And carry genes of a white molly influence that may result in white offspring. In both cases, this is normal.
