Hey guys I'm new here. This is my first post :) I have an empty 55 gallon that I think I'm going to put a puffer fish in. Iv never done a brackish aquarium before so any advice on that will be help full. I was looking for a unique puffer and came across the blue spotted puffer but couldent find any info on weather it can live in brackish water or if it needs to be complete marine. If it does need to be complete salt water does anyone know of a cool puffer that can live in brackish?

No blue spotted puffer since they are marine fish.

Try a figure 8 puffer for brackish, not a green spotted puffer.

The orange saddle back puffer need colder water and naturally a ambush hunter. No tankmates are safe with the saddle backs. They dig and need water to be low 70s or high 60s. I cant remember the exact farenheit that successful hobbyist have kept them in.

Definately go with the figure 8. Keep low end brackish water fish.
