Breeder box

How long can a female guppy be in a breeder box I am going away for 5 days and leaving tomorrow and she is close to giving birth.

Why not just leave her loose? She may eat fry in the trap if they can't hide also..
A screen type breathing trap a fish could live in...A plastic floating bin with slots eh not so long? epsecially if not cleaned and still fed...
Lots of plants [fake or real] in either place is best...I let livebearers give birth in tank and then pull the fry.It is just easier...They add up eventually.

I keep my fry in a 2.5 gallon tank do you think that would still work?

With sponge filter and it should be a good start for the fry.
