I currently have a male silver, a female silver balloon, and a female chocolate lyretail. the male seems to want nothing to do with the lyretail. WHAT CAN I DO ! :banghead::fish1::fish2:

ok for what? Selectively breeding livebearers is kind of difficult, since the females can store sperm for multiple pregnancies. That means if you aren't working with pre-mature juveniles, then you need to keep a pair together for several months before you will be sure that you have offspring between them.

My point that I never got to was putting 2 mollies in an already stocked 10g long term really isn't a great idea.

When u say Molly does that apply to swordtails also?

Yeah I'd apply it to swordtails also, they get pretty large. In that particular situation the tank is already full of guppies, so I wouldn't do it.

I would however, put a pair of mollies, or swordtails in a 10g by themselves just for breeding purposes.
