I was wondering if I could breed rainbow fish in the tank they are in. It's a 55 gallon tank with six rainbows, two pleco and one baby killifish. The temperature normally is about 76 to 78°. What are your opinions? IMG_0787.jpgthank you

Breeding Turquoise Rainbowfish will readily spawn in the aquarium. Keep them in a group of six or so with two males. You should condition them with lots of live food. They will spawn on fine leaved plants or Java Moss. Remove and place the eggs in a 5 or 10 gallon tank with a temperature of around 75-80 degrees F and the eggs should hatch around 7-12 days. Once eggs hatch you can feed fry infusoria , micro worms or vinegar eels. After 7 days you can start feeding Turquoise Rainbowfish fry newly hatched brine shrimp. Remove the plecos and killifish .
