bringing ph up?

I have a 29gal with 6lbs of lr and 30lbs of sand 10 of it is ls. My ph is only 7.5, i just ordered 45lbs of lr which will be here middle of week. Should i use something to try and bring the ph up or just wait till the lr gets here?

low pH can be from a new setup. Do a water change to slowly raise the pH back up.

If the tank is new or still cycling, then the low pH is normal. Water changes will raise the pH and once the cycle is completed a water change will get rid of all the acidic wastes produced during the cycle. Adding 45lbs of LR may also cause the tank to cycle again if it is not cycling right now. HTH
