Unless they are huge they are fine are will only help with clean up. If you try and get rid of please don't do so with your bare hands.
 
I leave them in I find they are a great part of the clean up crew. I have a few that are large and they haven't bothered anything except for dead stuff I couldn't reach or find.

If one does get a hold of you or you of it use vinegar to help dissolve the bristles.
 
I found the big one in my 55 today I saw about 8 inches of it and there was still more someplace. I had just fed all my anemones and ducan he came out to clean up the left overs. They are really neat nothing to get upset about. The hermit crabs in the tank was trying to take food away from the corals instead of cleaning up the sand bed gggrrr.
