At my LFS, there are red Chili sponges and I've always been interested but stayed away because they are always limp in the tank. Are they suppose to be droopy and limp? What are the lighting needs and do they need to be phytoplankton fed?

Are you sure they are sponges? There is a non-photosynthetic coral also called a chili coral. It prefers dim light and needs to be fed.
