Chinese Algae Eater in a 34g tank?

I just got a fish tank from my friend which I calculated is 34g. Once the tank is set up, I'm going to move my Chinese Algae Eater into the tank, he is a little under 2 and a half inches right now. So I was wondering, what would be the best fish to put with it? The tank is going to be a bit planted with Java Fern and Java Moss.
I was thinking Black Skirt Tetras, but I want tot know what you guys think.
