Clowns in a 20 g

let's say a clarkii clown and some damsel/chromis could it work out?

Sure, but damsels, blues and yellow tails are aggressive. Chromis would be better, but
think about 2 perc's and a smaller long tentacle, with LR and reasonable lights. this would work for your 20 gal. Tank is small so you can't get carried away.

I read that Chromis should be kept in small schools. 2 clowns and or damsels, you might be pushing the limits of capacity of the tank.
