Color ??

Hi guys


I got this frag acrapora from my local LFS

Just wondering does it look healthy the bottom is green and the top half is brown I am getting small polyp extension what color should it be

If it's a new coral, it's not unusual that it would start browning. It should color up in about 4 days. If that's not the case it could be a problem with lighting I think.

From my experience with sps browning is the result of a couple things. If your lighting isn't strong enough is one and if your water parameters are off is the other. Being a new addition it may just need time to adjust, as long as its getting the proper light and has the proper water conditions it should color back up in no time.

well I ma running 10 T5 with red sea reef spec bulbs

All water pars are perfect

So all I can do is wait and see

10 t5? You have that many t5 bulbs? What size tank and what wattage are the bulbs?

I am running a Red Sea Max S400 , 10 X T5s fixture comes as standard

3 blue bulbs 5 white and 2 pinks
