Hello. I have two small comet goldfish (about 1 inch long each). Viewed from the front or above, they are streamlined. Viewed from the side they are slightly almond shaped in their bodies. When I am in a pet store and see comet goldfish there, I usually notice that they are all torpedo shaped, with a straight line to their undersides. Are they just underfed, or is that what a healthy comet should look like? I just want to make sure my guys' somewhat almond shape doesn't indicate a problem (they are not lethargic or sickly in their behaviour). Or could it indicate that my fish are females (I've read that females are rounder in the body)?
Thanks!
