Just a couple of days ago the Long Tentacle anemone was doing great. But day before yesterday we spotted this Conch Snail entangled in it, and today the LT anemone is looking kind of sickly. Anyone else seen this happen. I checked water quality in the tank and everything checks out.

Mine curls up like this every time I do a pwc .
And takes a day or so to go back to its normal shape and size ,
I don't know about the conch .
I thought a anemone will eat anything .
My anemone is about 12" diameter on a average day,
I would like to know why mine curls up when I change water .

Are you sure that is a conch. It looks like it could be a cowrie. (My LFS sold me one and a conch) they can eat anemones.

Yep, my mistake it's a Cowery alright... Thanks for the input.

And yes, I did a water change and that may be the problem. The thing is that I've done other water changes, approximately 25% and had not observed this. But this time I did a 50% WC... Ughhh... :(

I transferred a Fuzzy Mushroom early this morning to see how it fares in the Nano. Seems to be ok, as well as the Green Striped Mushroom below it.

Update on Anemone, unfortunately I lost the LT Anemone. My wife and I suspect that either the toxins from the Cowerie snail or the Emerald crab may have attacked him overnite. Still a mystery. So we redecorated with some soft corals from the 60 gallon tank.
