I have 4 convict cichlids. One I know is a male & one female, the other 2 are to small yet to distingish gender. I have seperated the male into a 10 gal tank. What other fish could co-hab with this guy?

Unless these are fry, you should be able to tell if its a female or not. They gain the orange splash on their stomach very very early.

My three, 2 males and 1 female, currently coexist in a 90 gallon with three 6" oscars. (One is gonna leave soon). No fighting currently occurs between the trio of convicts, though the two smaller oscars are currently picking on the larger (Hence, I got to get rid of him)

The seperated male is probably about 2 inches maybe a little bit bigger. The female is a scant 2 inches & the other 2 are smaller. The smallest being maybe a good inch in length. The female & smaller 2 are in a 90gal with goldfish.

I've been thinking about an oscar but couldn't decide to keep him company. I've also thought about a bala shark or a red tail shark.

Red tail sharks do good by themselves. Bala sharks really need a school of 6 or more to be happy. They school in the wild.
