Convict fry

I stopped at my LFS today and picked up 5 baby convicts for 99 cents a piece. they are 1/4-3/4 of an inch long at the moment. At the store, they had them in with the guppies. Is it okay to put them in with my guppy fry in a 29 gal until I can get them their own tank? Any other advice greatly appreciated.

How long do you think it will be untill you get a new tank? Plus I wouldnt keep 5 together in the same tank, they breed fast then kill anything in the tank, so you tank could be filled with alot of convict fry if they stay together.

I'm not sure how long it will be. Probably a month or two until I can move my goldfish to the pond this spring.
