Copper?

hi i have just put copper in to my main fish only salt water tank. i have cured my fish of the problems they had and they look better! i know now not to put copper in to main tank again. i just bought a a 10 gallon tank for my sick fish! my question is how do i get my old copper out or cant i
i would like to place some inverts in but i cant til it is gone

copper is tricky, short of takeing the tank apart getting new substrate, and super cleaning it out, chances are you won't get rid of it all. sometime doing all that dosent' even help, it gets trapped in poures materials, and substrate.

try using a copper clumping agent. there is one called CupriSorb and you can find it at www.petsolutions.com. HTH

thanks when do you think it is safe for inverts?

you need a copper testing kit and that will tell when it would be safe.
