Last week I came home from work and noticed a puddle of water in front of the tank. I notced that the 20 gal high Aqueon glass tank that I had been using for a sump had cracked. I drained it then did a quick fix with some silicone (aquarium safe of course). It seems to have held for now but I left and came back again today and noticed new crack in a different spot. The tank is on a shelf underneath the display tank and it's level and sturdy. I'm sure I'll probably need to get a new tank and re-make the sump. Does anyone have any ideas as to how a tank can crack like this? Is the tank a defect? No one has kicked it or bumped it. It just seems to crack on its own.
Thanks,
Keith
