Just did the cucumber on a straw thing. The buenos ares tetras went for it like tiger sharks on a dead whale. How long can I leave it in the tank? Thanks group

Any veggies like that I remove after they start looking like they are degrading. 1 day max. But maybe all will be eaten. If most of the creatures stop eating it I throw it out. Just give a break for those guys on food the next day since they will have been quite full.
