Have been cycling my 10gal for a week now. And I have had some evaporation it is about 1 inch low and was wondering should I add some water? If so will it affect my cycle? I am still waiting on my ammo to drop.

You can top off your tank as long as you condition your water first.

If you have hang-on-the back type filters you might want to keep the water level slightly low so you have more surface agitation and aeration while cycling.

Thanks for the info! I may let I be for now. I also have my air pump on too.

Go ahead an top off the water with conditioned water. It will be fine. Once you have fish in when the cycle is done there won't be any need to top off water because you will be doing weekly water changes.

Good luck
