cycling question

I currently have a 90 gallon aquarium. I have a rena filstar xp4 filter and a tetra whisper 30-60 filter which both are running on a friends established 220 gallon tank. We have had them on the 220 for about a month to grow the bacteria in the filters before putting them on my tank. My question is though...... when i place the filters on my 90 gallon how long can I wait before adding fish to my tank without having to worry about the bacteria in the filters dying because there is no waste for them to eat?

Itd probably be fine for a week or so but the sooner you get fish in there the better.

It could be nonexistent if you stock carefully.

I plan on a tank with cichlids. Yellow labs and electric blues. Maybe a synodontis as well
