Did I do something wrong

I put my Aquaclear hang-on in the dish washer. I did rise it many times when it was done. I did that because it smelled so bad. Did this ruin it. Could the Jet dry stuff in the dish washer ruin it? Will it be alright to still use?

I did this all the time when I had my FW tank. Had no problems, AS a matter of fact my wife has done my skimmer in my SW tank.

Myself I wouldn't use any detergents to clean anything I use on my tanks.

Probably not. If you're really worried, run a cycle without any detergent. I assume you're using jet dry to help with the hard water. You can clean out the hard spots with a dilluted vinegar solution (and liberal rinsing).
