I really want to get nice, intricate driftwood for my 40g breeder. I thought about DIYing it but it seems risky, with choosing the right type of wood, water logging, parasites, rotting, curing, boiling large pieces, etc.

Where would I find driftwood for purchase (my LFS doesn't have it), or should I just DIY it?

Also, did you personably buy your own driftwood or make it yourself?

Thanks!

I found my Indonesian Spider wood on eBay. There are a ton of online options. Just search and find one that appeals to you visually, and is at your price point.

Both found and mostly purchased. Look here on the Classifieds, there are some nice things. I got of mine from members here. You can also check the member feedback section.

3 pieces in my 72G
member purchase, found, member purchase - in that order.

All together

oh and the weird one on the right is a resin decor my RTS loved hiding in so I let her have her hide out. It has changed since, no longer there as the RTS had passed.
