Do I need a powerhead

My 10 gallon will have a variety of mushrooms and polyps. Do I need a power head? I will be using a hang on back filter and a protein skimmer.

You don't need a protein skimmer for that size tank, weekly water changes will so the trick for exporting and importing nutrients, and a small joralia nano PW wouldn't hurt about the size of an egg

Yeah.. No protein skimmer is required. You can get one.. But it would pry do more harm then good.

A Koralia 240 would be a good addition.!
