Well my 65g has been up and running for 8 weeks now and finally after alot of patients the nitrites are at zero!!!! Sweet...

Anyways, what to put in first...

The cuc and one fish or just the cuc??

Oh and any suggestions on the fish, I want corral eventually

Really want a pistol shrimp and a watcherman goby

Thanks guys these forums and the people on here really are great :)

Some people would advise you to test the tank to see if it can control the ammonia by adding a pinch of fish food to see if you have any ammonia tomorrow.

How much nitrate do you have? If its 40ppm or below, you should do a 30% water change. If its above 40ppm, a 50% water change would be better.

What kind of fishes do you have in mind besides the pistol shrimp and goby? If you provide a list, people would be able to tell you which would be compatible and which arent coral safe.

After your water changes, you can add your CUC and 1 fish. Some people would wait a week first, but I went ahead and added my first fish with no problems

I put a pinch The day before last and I tested it last nite and the ammonia was still zero, the nitrate is between 20/30 so I'll do a 30% tomorrow morning

When I was last at my LFS there was a fish there which was about 3'' big blue and has a White spiral on him, I can't remember the name but I'm goin to get him if he is a community fish, a pair of clowns not sure what species yet, mabey a damsel, I have so many idea's!!!

Prob get to the point where I'm nearly over stocking and get a 250g lol

clean up crew stuff like snails crabs shrimp stars etc they help clean the aquarium of algae etc

I have a fire shrimp also and he just stays in his corner, doesn't do much cleaning IMO. Is the other shrimp a peppermint?

Same thats all he does, yeh the others were peppermint, I got

1fire shrimp
1 male and 2 female peppermint shrimp
10 turbo snails
10 blue hermit crabs

Well I'll get a fish next weekend but not sure what yet and that will do on the stocking side of things this month

Going to invest in a cooler though as the tank hit 27 degrees earlier!!

Oh and good luck with doing your tank Tuesday :)

Some more photos

Oh and the hermits are red and blue my mistake :)
