Ok my problem is I have a big piece of drift wood an I can't get it to sink it keeps floating up to the top what can I do to make it stay at the bottom
You can tie a piece of rock to the bottom of it and it will sink. Later you can remove the rock from the driftwood and it should be able to stay on the bottom. I would just use some fishing line.
You might try drilling a few holes into a slab of slate and then driving some stainless steel screws into the slate and DW. You could bury the slate in the substrate if necessary.
