I have a Fluval (as depicted in the link) and a generic all glass unit. The Fluval is convenient as it comes with its own premixed indicator solution (as sold separately). I have had to seal leak once in 2-3 years of use; the indicator solution "disappeared".
The other DC is a bit harder to read depending on the background. But it looks nicer.

I picked up 3 or 4 packets and the price / pre-mixed solution are really good. I'm not a 100% sure it is leaking but am tempted to get anything that looks nicer and a one-piece. Glass sounds nice?

Yes, all glass looks nice. Just clean it from time to time as it and/or the suction cup can become an algae magnet (BBA for mine).

Mine was a gift from Brookster; he ordered it from China. GLA knock off? Maybe. I don't think it cost very much though.

Thanks for the tip. Postage is a big cost here so good to have another option.
