Any dwarf cichlid owners ever had problems with new fish not eating? I've got (4) A. trifasciata in a 10 gal planted. They seem to be really skittish and the biggest male is pretty territorial. I've kept blue rams in a similar set up but never had them not eat. Water is good (ammonia = 0, nitrite = 0). I was thinking about setting up another piece of driftwood/java fern to create another small territory... Any thoughts? They won't touch flake (i expected this) but 3 of the 4 have also turned down frozen brine shrimp. I don't know of any live food sources near long beach.... any thoughts? maybe they need some dithers to get more comfortable? TIA

how long ago did you get them? I find that some fish go on a hunger strike for a few days after getting them.

Tues. the 15th. maybe its just too soon to be worried, i've just never had a fish do this and they're stunning! i'd hate to lose them!
