I have a 10g tank cycled for about 4 months now.
I want to stock it with 1 DG and about 6-7 cardinal tetras, it's that a good idea?

Dwarf gourami and cardinals both need 20g min, Imo.

here is an idea,
1 scarlet badis
6-8 CPDs.

I keep a mix of boraras and really adore them! Very active little guy's ?

70 gallon elephant nose tank.
30 gallon boraras , red longfin bristlenose, bamboo shrimp, crs,rcs and different snails.
7 gallon halfmoon betta and red ramshorn.

CPDs look really awesome, I'll see if my LFS has them and try them out.
I'm planning to upgrade to a 20g long anytime soon

As a note scarlet badis eat mainly live food... So a complication.
Yes this could be a bit of a challenge, but after a while it's possible to move their diet to dried foods although you should still feed it a regular diet of live food.
IMO, all worth it! ;)

Yes, Cpds are awesome. But pricey...
