In addition to climbing, they can also swim. Their tail can springboard itself out the tank when startled or under other unusual circumstances.

It is a crayfish technically but as we all know everything gets mislabeled and u try telling a 3 year old who watches spongebob it's not a lobster lol. ya he only spazzes out cuz my 4 cory's bump him but I have a high lid and I keep the water about 3 inches below

Lol yea I bet your three year old loves him especially being blue. And I don't think you have anything to worry about he should be able to get out of that
