I think I remember reading this question on here before but didnt pay attention.
How do I tell if my API test kit is expired? Is the last two digits in the number on some of the bottles the year it expires? In that case, my test expired last year and I bought it this year.
Im taking a water sample over to my LFS so they can test it and see where my numbers are.

Usually test strips have a year shelf life idk how you tell on the bottle though

Each one should have a lot number and the last four digits are the month and year of production. Ammonia and nitrate and good for three years and nitrite is good for four years, and PH is good for five years. I've tested kits that were a few years expired and had the same results with new kits so take that for what it's worth.

Not sure offhand the whole number, but the last two digits are 10. So thats when I figured it was from last year
