How do you do this

My Bettas scavenge EVERYWHERE in the tank. When I feed veggies for the CAE's & snail they just munch on it from the bottom of the tank. I weight down the disc of cucumber or zucchini after blanching it & letting it cool. It'll float if you don't weight it down.

But i don't want it to sink unless my fish(platys and neon tetras)will eat it of the ground.

Then don't weight it down, it'll typically float on its own. If you want them to eat from the top, chop it into bite size pieces, drop a piece to see if it gets eaten if it does drop in more.

Get some veggie clips and clip the food items at the top of the tank right at the water line. I always put some high for top feeding fish.
