I currently have 2 male and 2 female gourami in a 20 gallon tank, they get along ok and have been attempting to breed but my hubby has got a female betta and put her in there and I'm a bit worried about her general well being. She is a beautiful fish but I just don't know if I have the room for her, or if they will all get along. I also have a breeding tri of bristlenose catfish in there and my tank is pretty heavily planted with plenty of hiding spots.
I'm just not too sure about the whole thing. Any suggestions?

Its a bit of a crap shoot with Bettas male or female. The best thing you can do is keep a close eye on everyone, some chasing & nipping is expected but if its more than that you may need to remove her. Just have a back up plan & you should be fine.
