I've had her a couple weeks now. Her belly was round then and I thought she was just egg bound. Now it's giant and I'm worried. Tank is cycled. 7ph. 0ammo. 0nitrite. ~15 nitrate or lower. Hardness is right.
You can see her next to the other girl as well.
Will she absorb the eggs? Is something else wrong? Do I need to go by a 5g qt tank?

Do you know if she ever mated ? if not, she may well be egg bound and the only thing you can do is wait. You can't try to squeeze the eggs out as the risk of doing internal damage is much too high. Nothing you can feed will help either. She just has to reabsorb them and it takes as long as it takes.

I assume she hasn't mated. I got her from a petsmart from one of those little cups. I'm glad it's not something dangerous. She is acting just fine, just looks weird and avoids the other female for the most part.

Give her some time. She may well be eggbound and if so time will do the trick. Might be best if you can keep her separate from other fish, as they might pester her. A simple divider in the tank would do, 'til she improves.
