filter advice needed!

I recently moved my tanks with me to a new city. Now the filter for my 20 gallon, which i have been happy with for a year or so, is buzzing. I know this sort of thing happens and i figured it was just time for a replacement filter. I have now purchased and returned two filters (an aqueon Quiteflow 20 and an aquaclear 30) that have buzzed louder than the one I'm trying to replace.

any suggestions for a good QUIET filter? or do you think its just that i somehow managed to buy two dud filters in a row?

HOB filters I find just tend to buzz / rattle more .. Though you probably just had really bad luck with two bad units.

Consider a canister filter like a fluval 106 ... My fluval is so quiet, I have to check the output to make sure it works.
