Filter Flow

I have two AquaClear 50 filters on my 50 gallon tank and I noticed that the first one I got has started to develope a very low flow rate. The water is barely pouring out. Any ideas?

How old is it? Have you cleaned it recently? Checked the impeller? Is something blocking the flow?

Also not that it makes much of a difference but is it on low flow by any chance?

I'd look into those things and see what happens, you'd be surprised what a good cleaning of the filter and the impeller would do.

I'd start with the check list.

Maybe something is impeding the impeller. Or there's a blockage somewhere else.
