filter media from turtle tank to help cycle?

I am cycling my tank with fish in it. Would adding the bioscrub on my turtle tank filter to my fish tank help with cycling? Would it be safe?

They are red eared sliders.

ive never kept turtles, but i did some google searching and read that they go through the same cycle as a freshwater tank would, so as long as the turtle is healthy, i dont see why not.
