Filtering with Peat Moss

I want to start filtering with Peat Moss. Has anyone used the Waupaca Northwoods 100% Harvested Sphagnum Peat Moss from Walmart. I contacted the manufacturer and they say they add nothing to the product either before or after harvesting. Being the skeptic I just wondered if anyone had any experience.
