Finding base rock for my nano?

Does anyone know if I can use lace rock from a quarry for base rock? Want to make sure I can cure it and won't screw up levels once I start my tank up as I just received it? If not, what types if rock should I be looking for at quarries/building supply store?

I used lace rock in my nano but i got mine from my lfs,not a building supply store..imo i wouldnt get from building store because it could have been exposed to chemicals harmful to aquarium life(pesticides etc)..order online from bulk reef supply or other online stores before going to home depot,etc,imo...

Is there products good quality and rock holy and porous and on the lighter side ya know?

It's the whiter rock on the bottom
starting to change color a little
newer rock has been in tank now almost 1 1/2 months
