Hello all,

I recently started working around an aquarium and have really gotten obsessed and am getting ready to set up a tank for the first time. In leaving towards a 20 or 29 gallon freshwater and am looking for stocking ideas!

Thanks!

29 is a great size [emoji4]

By the time you factor in substrate, decorations, actual inside size of your aquarium, you can expect to have about 23gallons of water space, which is good for small schooling fish like danios and tetras. White Cloud Mountain minnows are also fun in a 29 gallon tank [emoji4]

Welcome to the community.
I agree with sassymomma. A 29g is a good starter tank, and will give you a few more options than a 20g.
