It's really not going to help much. I have to ask how large is the tank? Reason I'm asking is what most people don't realize is swords can get up to 5+ inches. Are you just going to use them for cycling and return them? If not I would suggest doing a fishless cycle and if possible get some of your friends old media that is loaded with BB and use it in your filter which will help the tank cycle much faster. BUT you still will need to dose ammonia for a fishless cycle or do a fish in cycle with suitable size fish. There is a sticky note at the top of the forum that is loaded with good cycling articles.
