I was always thinking of how I'd honor my fish when he'd die. Like with my cat I kept his favorite toy.
I don't know how long fish usually live in a well kept tank. Its been almost a year and he's survived icky tanks, over crowded tanks, algae blooms and a whole tank transfer, he's a fighter but if that time came I thought of an idea I'd share here.
What I'd do is purchase a small tank like 5g or so. Fill it with clean gravel, and my Jack's favorite fake plant. Then take my picture of him and frame it, and set the frame in the tank next to the plant. I can still enjoy his shiny looks but not ever clean it.
He is healthy now after much help from the members here, so thank you guys! Hopefully I can enjoy him for many more years.
