Wow looks cool. I like the wooden look! Definitely thinking about starting a DIY saltwater

Thats one tank with water in and filters running, just need some plants.

And the bottom doors are made and hung.

3 more tanks to go and 2 more doors to make.

i've thought the same thing today, i've got a piece to replace it as it doesn't reach the water level.

It's pretty much all old pallets so all i've been doing is sanding to even up the colour and get rid of staining. it'll get a coat of clear varnish to protect it a bit.

I've had a few days off work and managed to get a bit more done on the tanks.

work in progress mancave... I've started on a full height and half height stud wall to split the garage in 2, built a temporary work bench for tinkering. got a new kitchen coming on wednesday so i'm using the best of the old one to add cupboards and a new bench so i can get rid of the 2 shelf units and refit a new garage door where Marilyn's hanging. I can then add a bat car.

We've only been here for 18months and theres lots more to do. The house comes first apparently

I've not had much time or space to do much with the tanks as my garage is full of new kitchen and sideboards.

2 of the tanks have been cycling for almost a month, both are 0.5ppm ammonia, 0ppm nitrite, 20ppm nitrate and 7.2 ish ph. temps around 20 degrees as i'm having heater issues (**** cheap Chinese crap).

I was thinking it could be my heaters not being correctly calibrated. I am now getting a steady 22 degrees by setting the heater at 28 degrees. when i had it set at 24 degrees i was getting 18, thats a 6 degree difference between setting and the actual temp.
