Is it safe to cap fluorite with sand? I heard something about people doing it but they say air bubbles start to form and said that's bad for the fish... Can anyone clarify this?

Flourite sand or gravel? Either way I've done it with both using black sand on top, just poke it with a fork and hour after tank setup and periodically thereafter, adding root tabs will help release any minor pockets that may form, even of they do and are released they'll just go to the top like farting in the tub

Not yet, I'm in the process of moving from NC to Kansas. So once I move in it may take me awhile to set it up because my finances are limited. It's a normal 20 gallon tank (not a 20 gallon long)
