fragging zoos

so my zoo frag has attached to the rock i put it on.

so before i do anything, im asking

can i cut with an exacto blade the frag from the rock and just let the rock get populated, then put the frag on another rock to populate it the same way so i have 2 new rocks populated?

You can use the exacto to get some of the matting up. Just take some super glue gel and glue it to another rock. I have pulled some up by hand. If the zoos grow over the edge of the rock, it makes them easy to cut off.

Best to use gloves with zoos though.

I'll second that. Becareful w/ any waste water the zoos were in. Best to dispose of it immediately. Zoos can be toxic.

Yes, when fragging anything it is best to do it in a seperate body of water like a 5-10g tank 1/2 full depending on size of coral (with water from the tank you are removing the coral from). The coral may slime for a bit and then it can be placed back into the main/frag tank from which it came.

With most corals gloves are a good idea, but especially with zoos.
