That's what the pea is for. It cures constipation in fish. When I get a new fish from the lfs, I usually fast it for a few days just to let whatever they've been feeding it work its way out.

cool. so, i peeled of the shell of the pea, and its in her tank. she nipped it twice , not sure if she ate it. shes lost interest in it....

You should probably remove it so it doesn't foul up the water too much. If it hasn't disintegrated too much, try cutting it into small, bite size pieces. That way she actually gets some of it.

Don't forget that fasting her is not a bad thing. Sounds like she might really benefit from it while you're trying to figure out what her issue is exactly.
